This fine antique George VI sterling silver fish service for six persons has been crafted in the Old English pattern.

The blade of each knife has a broad rounded shaped form and the forks have an incurved form with four tines.

The surface of each piece is plain and embellished with a pip to the anterior surface of each handle terminal.

This impressive fish service is fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with two hinged catches.

The interior of the box bears the retailer’s mark ‘Harrods London, S.W’.

This antique fish service has been crafted in a standard classic design and could be associated with an Old English pattern canteen of cutlery.

Date: 1937


This antique fish set is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition.

The set has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The box is also in excellent presentation condition, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of each piece are all very clear.

Reflections in photography may detract from the true representation of each item of antique silverware.
