Description


This exceptional pair of antique Victorian sterling silver grape scissors have a hinged scissor action.


The anterior and posterior surface of these impressive shears are plain and unembellished, apart from the full hallmarks.


These antique silver grape scissors are fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box, with a velvet and satin lined interior, securing with a push fit catch.


The interior of the cover bears the retailer's mark 'By special appointment to H.M. The King, Curtis & Horspool, Jewellers and Goldsmiths, Leicester' encompassing a simplified version of the Royal arms of the United Kingdom.

Condition


These antique silver grape shears / scissors are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The original box is also in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handles are all very clear.
