Description


This exceptional Victorian sterling silver soup ladle has been crafted in the Old English pattern.


The anterior surfaces of the handle terminal is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting issuant from a mound, a tower.


This fine example of Victorian flatware has a plain rounded bowl.


The reverse of the ladle features a rounded heel to the bowl and a pip to the handle terminal.


This exceptional silver soup ladle was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith and flatware maker George Adams of Chawner & Co.

Condition


This antique silver soup ladle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition in keeping with age.

There is minor surface wear as to be expected, in keeping with age and use.

The bright cut engraved crest is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handle are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian dining silverware.
