Description


This exceptional antique George III sterling silver tea tray has a plain oval form.


The surface of this antique tea tray is plain and unembellished.


The raised border of this impressive tray is encompassed with an applied thread decoration to the rim.


This fine oval silver tray is fitted with two thread decorated handles accented with impressive leaf enveloped terminals.


This Georgian tray has a fine colour and patination*.


* Patination or Patina is a subtle colouration or tarnish which forms on the surface of some metals, produced by oxidation or other chemical processes. A good patina proffers an aesthetically pleasing look.

Condition


This antique oval silver tray is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the tray are very clear.
