Description


This exceptional antique George V sterling silver photograph frame has a plain rectangular form.


The surface of this antique photo frame is plain and unembellished.


This plain silver frame is fitted with a fine and impressive oak wood back and hinged strut, secured with two silver swivel catches; the silver portion securing the oak wood back indicates the high quality of the piece.


This photograph frame is inset with a removable glass panel.


This impressive frame was crafted in Chester by William Henry Stokes & Arthur George Ireland of Stokes & Ireland Ltd.

This antique photo frame is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type and exceptional quality.

The plain silver frame and oak wood back are in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim have wear in keeping with age and location, but remain legible.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of antique silverware.
