This fine antique sterling silver presentation bowl has a plain rounded form onto a circular domed spreading foot.

The body of this Victorian bowl is encircled with impressive embossed and chased decorated volute scrolling leaf designs.

The decoration to the body of the bowl incorporates two scroll bordered cartouches, one remains vacant and the other bears a contemporary bright cut engraved crest for the Royal Artillery* above the regimental motto ‘Ubique’ - Everywhere**.

The lower portion of the bowl and domed portion of the foot are embellished with embossed fluted decoration.

The rim of this impressive bowl is encircled with applied moulded decoration.

If required, this antique presentation bowl could be supplied with a bespoke ebonised black plinth with sterling silver plaque or band, suitable for a personal engraved inscription. This service would take approximately 6 weeks, the cup can be dispatched separately prior to completion.

* The Royal Regiment of Artillery (RA) is the artillery arm of the British Army.

** 'UBIQUE' - This motto was originally bestowed on Engineers and Gunners by King William IV in 1832 in recognition that Gunners were not entitled to carry Regimental Colours. As the gunners served as small detachments and never as a whole unit, it meant they were 'everywhere'.
