This impressive antique presentation cup has a circular tapering form onto a circular domed spreading foot.

The body of this antique presentation cup is accented with four shaped, subtly tapering Art Deco style mouldings which run the full height of the cup.

The original hallmarked push fit cover is surmounted by an impressive cast sterling silver Pegasus, or flying horse style finial.

The domed foot of the cup is embellished with bright cut engraved decoration depicting a portion of a globe, or model of the Earth.

This George V presentation cup is fitted to the original ebonised wooden plinth.

The shaped plinth is fitted with a vacant plain silver cartouche, suitable for personal engraving if so desired.

Both the plinth and the cartouche reflect the Art Deco style.

Date: 1935


This antique Art Deco style presentation cup is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the cup and part hallmarks struck to the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
