Description


This fine antique George V sterling silver presentation cup/bowl has a circular plain rounded form to a circular spreading foot.


The surface of this antique cup is plain and encircled with an embossed girdle.


This cup is fitted with two impressive opposing scroll style handles embellished with scrolling upper terminal and a shield shaped upper socket.


This fine example of antique silverware retains the original circular painted wood plinth, encircled with a bespoke vacant silver inscription band; the band may be engraved with a personal inscription if so desired.


The plinth retains the original central circular retailer's insert bearing the details 'Connard & Son Ltd, Southport'.


Date: 1923

Condition


This antique cup is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bowl are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique silverware.
