This exceptional Victorian sterling silver soup tureen has an Adams style form onto an oval pedestal foot.

The rim, foot and handles of this antique tureen are ornamented with a fine and impressive gadroon decorated borders.

The impressive scrolling handles are embellished with a floral motif to each side.

The lower portion of the body is ornamented with a thread decorated girdle.

This antique tureen is retains the original hallmarked liner, fitted with ring style handles.

The shaped domed cover of this tureen is surmounted by a plain and unembellished domed finial.

This antique soup tureen is an exceptional example of its type.

Date: 1899


This Victorian sterling silver tureen is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the tureen and liner and to the underside of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silverware.
