This fine vintage sterling silver soup tureen has a circular bulbous form onto a circular pedestal foot.

The tureen has been made in the antique style, fitted with splendid acanthus leaf chased decorated handles.

The domed cover is surmounted with an impressive detachable naturalistic twisted branch, acorn, leaf and scroll chased decorated shaped handle which secures to the underside with a hallmarked pin and screw fastening.

This impressive tureen is ornamented with a gadroon decorated rim.

The tureen body, cover and interior are plain and unembellished.

This fine tureen may be supplied with an appropriate sterling silver soup ladle if so desired.

This vintage tureen is an exceptional gauge of silver, fine and exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The tureen has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body, interior of the cover, and part hallmarks struck, as expected to the underside of the handle and securing nut are all very clear.

The chased decoration is very crisp.
