This antique Edwardian sterling silver spirit kettle has a plain rectangular rounded form.

The surface of the kettle is plain and embellished with an impressive applied gadroon decorated border to the shoulders, accented with a shell and scroll decorated motif to each corner.

This antique silver kettle is fitted with a plain domed hinged hallmarked cover surmounted with the original wood and sterling silver finial.

This fine example of antique teaware is fitted with an impressive scrolling handle ornamented with impressive chased decorated leaf and paw decorated terminals, in addition to the original painted wood handpiece to the centre.

The kettle detaches from the original hallmarked sterling silver stand, supported by four impressive chased leaf and paw decorated feet, identical to the style of the handle terminals.

The stand incorporates a plain frame which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner.

The spirit kettle stand is fitted with the original chains and security pegs, with impressive shell decorated terminals.

Date: 1907


This antique spirit kettle is an excellent gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent condition.

Each component has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The interior of the kettle has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

The applied and chased decoration is sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the kettle and stand, in addition to the part hallmarks to the underside of the spirit burner and interior of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of Edwardian teaware.
