Description


This exceptional antique George V sterling silver sugar caster has a tapering cylindrical form onto a plain circular domed spreading foot.


The surface of the caster is plain and encircled with bands of tooled decoration.


The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked push fit cover, embellished with pierced and tooled angular chevron style decoration, all in the iconic Art Deco style.


The cover is surmounted by a sterling silver button style finial.


Date: 1935

Condition


This antique sugar caster is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The caster has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and part hallmarks to the cover are all very clear, in keeping with age and location.
