This exceptional antique George III English sterling silver teapot has a circular compressed form onto a swept circular foot.

The plain upper portion is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a cockerel.

The lower portion of the body of the teapot is encircled with chased fluted decoration.

The teapot is encircled with an applied gadroon decorated border below the plain flared, tapering shoulders.

This silver teapot is fitted with a hallmarked flush hinged cover ornamented with further fluted decoration to the domed portion; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this piece.

The cover retains the original and exceptional sterling silver gadroon decorated finial; this finial secures to the interior with a screw fitment.

This exceptional example of antique teaware is fitted with a painted carved pear wood C shaped ribbed handle with plain sterling silver sockets.

This antique teapot is fitted with an impressive swan necked spout.

This exceptional example of Georgian silverware was crafted by the very collectable and important London silversmith Paul Storr.

Date: 1814


This antique teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The embossed and applied decoration is all very sharp.

There is some shrinkage to the lower portion of the handle; this does not affect the integrity of the piece.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the teapot and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
