This fine antique Victorian sterling silver teapot has a plain rounded compressed melon shaped form.

The surface of the subtly incurved panelled body is plain and unembellished.

This fine example of antique silverware is fitted with the original hallmarked hinged domed cover and retains the impressive original hallmarked sterling silver acorn and foliate finial.

The fine plain C scroll handle is ornamented with an impressive chased decorated leaf design to the upper portion which is incorporated into the shaped thumbpiece.

The upper socket of the handle is ornamented with further chased leaf decoration.

The plain panelled swan necked spout is ornamented with an applied leaf design to the upper portion of the lip.

The teapot is supported on four bracket style feet embellished with impressive leaf decorated sockets.

This fine example of Victorian teaware was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Richard Hennell III.

Date: 1846


This antique teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The chased and applied decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside and part hallmarks to the handle, finial and interior of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silverware.
