SOLD - Sterling Silver ‘Wheelbarrow’ Bon Bon Dish - Vintage Elizabeth II

This exceptional vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver bon bon dish has been realistically modelled in the form of a wheelbarrow.

The surface of the dish/bed of the wheelbarrow is embellished with fine and impressive pierced scrolling leaf, floral and trellis decoration.

The well of the dish is plain and unembellished.

The posterior of the tapering bed retains the original hallmarked detachable push fit panel, embellished with incurved upper portion featuring a pierced decorated scrolling design.

The anterior portion of the body of the wheelbarrow incorporates two front braces connected with an axle bracket and functional hallmarked pierced decorated wheel.

The rear frame/handles and leg supports are plain ornamented with pierced scrolling leaf style bracket decoration.

Date: 1966

This vintage dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The pierced decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the wheelbarrow handle and part hallmarks to the posterior panel and wheel are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of vintage silverware.
