This fine antique William IV sterling silver and cut glass cruet set consists of a two large oil/vinegar bottles, two small oil/vinegar bottles, two shakers and a mustard pot, all displayed on the original associated stand.

The original cut glass containers have a cylindrical subtly tapering form with rounded shoulders.

The body of the four oil bottles incorporates a lipped pouring collar, and are each fitted with a push fit glass stopper.

Each of the shaker bottles retains the original hallmarked sterling silver push fit subtly panelled cover, embellished with pierced holes.

The mustard pot is fitted with the original hallmarked sterling silver mount and hinged cover.

The covers to both the shakers and the mustard pot are surmounted with an impressive sterling silver finial.

The components of this impressive antique cut glass cruet set are displayed in the hallmarked sterling silver stand.

The stand has a rounded rectangular form with a shaped flared rim and retains the original oak wood base.

The surface of the body of the stand is embellished with an embossed scroll and floral design to each lobed panel.

The stand incorporates the original detachable hallmarked frame with seven incurved receivers, securing to the underside with a nut.

The frame incorporates a central shaped carrying handle embellished with impressive scrolling leaf ornamentation with a central stylised leaf design to the centre of the handpiece.

This fine, original stand is supported by four impressive Regency style feet.

This antique cruet set is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The glass receptacles are in perfect condition.

The chased decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the body of the stand are worn; this is often the case due to the location of the hallmarks and this item has been priced accordingly.

Part hallmarks to the frame of the stand and each silver mount are all clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silver and glassware.
