Description


This exceptional contemporary Scottish table bell in sterling silver, has a plain bell shaped form.


The surface of this silver bell is embellished with an engraved scene depicting two pheasants on a foliage terrain.


The bell retains the original turned painted wood handle encompassed with bands of tooled decoration and topped with a sterling silver terminal.


The handle is fitted to a sterling silver cylindrical socket ornamented with applied moulded ornamentation.


This impressive antique table bell is fitted with the original hallmarked clapper, encompassed with further applied moulded decoration.

Condition


This contemporary table bell is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the bell and part hallmarks to the clanger are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of contemporary silverware.
