This exceptional antique Victorian cast sterling silver pepperette has been realistically modelled in the form of a chick.

This impressive silver bird pepperette has been embellished with details reproducing the fine definition of the plumage and facial features.

This sterling silver piece retains the original hallmarked push fit cover/head which features pierced 'pepper' holes.

The cover of this antique chick shaped pepper shaker is further ornamented with bead eyes.

Such large and original period examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.

This antique silver bird pepperette is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The cast decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the chick's tail feathers and sleeve of the cover/head are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian silverware.
