This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver pepperette has been realistically modelled in the form of a bird* perched on a branch.

This impressive pepperette is embellished with details reproducing the definition of the bird’s plumage and anatomical features.

The surface of the perch is embellished with a tree bark texture, accented with branches extending outward.

The novelty pepperette retains the original fully hallmarked push fit cover/head which features pierced 'pepper' holes.

Such original period pieces incorporating a sculpted branch, in addition to the featured bird, are rare examples.

* The characteristics of the body reflects that of a robin or blue tit.

This antique silver Victorian pepperette is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The cast decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the perch and part hallmarks to the rim of the cover/head are all very clear; the hallmarks are deeply struck due to the exceptional gauge of silver.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this example of Victorian silverware.
