This exceptional antique sterling silver biscuit box has an oval shaped, rounded form.


The surface of this large Victorian silver biscuit box is plain and embellished with embossed inverted incurved panels with a paralleling scalloped border to the upper portion.


The box is fitted with a hallmarked hinged cover encircled with further panelled decoration, identical to that of the body.


This exceptional box is supported by four impressive bracket style feet.


This biscuit box is a large example of its type.

This large Victorian silver biscuit box is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The box has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the box and part hallmarks to the interior of the cover have wear in keeping with age and location, but remain legible.
