The surface of each antique biscuit box is plain and embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved initials 'PO' beneath a coronet.

The upper portion of each body is encircled with an impressive flared, undulating gallery ornamented with pierced scrolling leaf and floral decoration, in addition to an applied moulded border to the rim.

These boxes are fitted with a circular, panelled hallmarked push fit covers surmounted with the original cast sterling silver leaf decorated finials.

These antique silver boxes are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the box and part hallmarks to the rim of the cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
