Description


This exceptional antique George III sterling silver bowl has a circular rounded form onto a spreading foot.


The lower portion of the body of this Georgian bowl is embellished with chased fluted decoration.


The upper portion is encircled with four applied figural medallions incorporating a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a badger.


The upper rim of this impressive bowl is encompassed with an applied moulded border.


The circular spreading foot is embellished with an applied bead decorated border to the rim.


This exceptional Georgian bowl, crafted by the renowned and important London silversmith Benjamin Smith III, has been crafted in the highly desirable, classic English style.


Date: 1818

Condition


This antique bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver and exceptional quality for its type.

The bowl is in exceptional condition, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the bowl are all very clear in keeping with age.
