Description


This exceptional antique George V sterling silver cafe au lait set consists of a coffee pot and hot milk jug.


These cafe au lait vessels have a plain octagonal tapering panelled form to a stepped foot, all in the George I style.


The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished with an applied moulded border to the upper rim.


Each piece is fitted with the original hallmarked domed panelled hinged cover surmounted by an impressive silver circular urn style finial.


The milk and coffee pots retain the original carved painted wood handles incorporating a plain scrolling thumbpiece and plain sterling silver sockets.


The coffee pot is fitted with an impressive panelled swan necked spout with a scrolling thumbpiece to the upper surface of the lip.

These antique silver café au lait jugs are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

Each piece has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The interior of the each piece has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to the covers are all clear; the full hallmarks have wear in keeping with age and location.
