Sterling Silver Cake Stand / Centrepiece - Contemporary Elizabeth II

Description

This fine contemporary Elizabeth II sterling silver cake stand / centrepiece has a two-tiered circular rounded form.

The central baluster shaped supports are embellished with embossed fluted style decoration.

The centrepiece is fitted with two-tiered dishes, each encircled with a galleried pierced grape and vine decorated border.

The upper portion of the central support is embellished with an impressive finial/carrying handle ornamented with scrolling leaf decoration in addition to a fluted baluster shaped knop to the handpiece.

The circular domed spreading base is embellished with a band of embossed fluted decoration.

Condition

This sterling silver cake stand is a very good gauge of silver, very good quality and in excellent presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the base are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of contemporary silverware.
