Description

These antique George V sterling silver cast candlesticks have a classical Georgian English form.

These antique english silver candlesticks have waisted capitals supported by waisted knopped circular columns, each to a domed bell shaped lower portion plain stepped square base.

Each capital is encircled with a two bands of gadroon decoration and retains the original hallmarked push fit sconce.

The knops to the upper portion of the columns are ornamented with further gadroon decoration in a swirl design.

The bell shaped portion of the column is encircled fluted ornamentation in a swirl design, with a shaped terminal.

The plain stepped square bases are embellished with a band of impressive gadroon decoration above the plain collet style rim.

These cast sterling silver candlesticks do not have weighted bases.

Candlesticks crafted in this classical form are highly desirable.
