The surface of each handle is plain and unembellished, apart from a pip to the anterior terminal.

The pieces of this silver vintage canteen, including the impressive and original pistol grip knives, have been crafted by the London silversmith A Haviland-Nye in 1979.
The replacement table spoons were crafted by the renowned Sheffield silversmith Emile Viner of Viner's Ltd in 1928.
Such three-tined examples, with the original knives, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
This vintage canteen of cutlery is supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing.
Such services, with pistol grip handled knives and three tined forks in a traditional antique English style, are desirable and becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
* "Straight" means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year.
