The pieces of this exceptional, antique George V sterling silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Old English Bead pattern.

The anterior surface of each fork and spoon handle is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a paw couped, erected proper holding a sabre.

Each spoon and fork has a pip to the terminal and the spoons have rounded heels to the reverse.

The fundamental pieces of this straight* service have been crafted by the London silversmith maker D & J Wellby Ltd in 1933, apart from the knives which are replacements**.

This impressive antique flatware service is supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing.

* "Straight" means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year.

** Predominately all antique silver canteens have replacement knives as the originals have not stood the test of time.

Date: 1933

This antique Bead pattern cutlery set is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.

This canteen has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved crests are very crisp and the bead decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each item are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine and impressive canteen.
