The pieces of this exceptional antique George VI sterling silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Georgian pattern.


The surface of each rounded handle is embellished with an incurved segment of fluted ornamentation to the terminal emanating from a compressed ball style finial; the standard trade pattern is known as Georgian I, however it can also be referred to as Queen Anne pattern.

This impressive service benefits from fine and impressive solid sterling silver fish service and pair of fish servers.


The entire components of this antique service have been crafted by the renowned Birmingham silversmiths Elkington & Co Ltd in 1937; the components will have been crafted in the same year but due to the hallmarking system the items are struck with the date letters N and O.


The blades to the original knives bear the maker's mark 'Elkington & Co, Stainless, Cutlers and Silversmiths'.


This impressive antique sterling silver flatware for 12 is supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduce tarnishing.


* "Straight" means all the pieces are made by the same maker in the same year.
