The fundamental pieces of the basic service were crafted by the London silversmith Sir John Bennett Ltd in 1933.

The mother of pearl handled components and further solid silver additional pieces were made by the specialist Sheffield silversmith Emile Viner of Viner's Ltd between 1931 - 1935*.

The stainless steel blades of the original table and dessert knives bear the mark 'Viner's Ltd, Sheffield, Cutlers to H.M. The King' accented with the 'Stainless De-luxe'.

This impressive canteen of cutlery is fitted to the original, fine and impressive veneered walnut lift up lid and one draw Art Deco style canteen table; this is an impressive piece of furniture in its own right.

The table features an impressive and iconic Art Deco style tiered design to the underside and is fitted with brass handles to both the drawer and lid.

This exceptional cutlery table is supported by four plain simulated walnut legs.

This exceptional example of antique furniture retains the original fitted fully working locking mechanism and key.

* This magnificent service will have been a commissioned order of the period and comprised by flatware specialists to create a comprehensive Art Deco service.
