The pieces of this exceptional vintage George VI silver canteen of cutlery / flatware service for 12 persons have been crafted in the Lincoln pattern.

The plain tapering handle of each piece is embellished with Art Deco style tiered decoration with a stepped-down top; this pattern was designed by Harrison Bros & Howson.

The anterior surface of each handle bears the impressive contemporary engraved initial 'R'.

This vintage Sheffield canteen of cutlery consists of 77 pieces:

Basic Service:
12 Table forks
12 Soup Spoons
12 Dessert forks
12 Dessert spoons
12 Teaspoons
6 Coffee spoons
Additional Service:
Pair of sauce ladles
4 Serving spoons
4 Salt spoons

The components of this service have been crafted by the Sheffield silversmith and flatware maker George Howson of Harrison Brothers & Howson between 1946-1949; the pieces will have been crafted in less years but due to the hallmarking system the items are struck with the date letters D, E and G.

This vintage silver service can be purchased with appropriate pattern knives if so desired; for further information please contact Andrew Campbell directly.

These impressive examples of vintage silverware are supplied in felt cutlery rolls; which not only protect the items in storage but significantly reduces tarnishing.
