The pieces of this magnificent, antique sterling silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in the Albany pattern.


The anterior and posterior surfaces of Albany pattern, also known as the Queen Anne pattern, features fluted decoration with a ball ornamentation to each terminal.

This comprehensive antique canteen of cutlery for 12 has been crafted by Atkin Brothers and bears the date letters m, n, o, t and y; this denotes the completed service was made between 1929-1941.


The original sterling silver dessert knives have been re-fitted with stainless steel blades.


This impressive canteen of cutlery is fitted to a magnificent mahogany lift up lid and well, three drawer canteen box which features brass carrying and drawer handles and a central vacant shaped cartouche to the lid.

Condition


This antique canteen of cutlery for 12 is a very good gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in excellent presentation condition.

The mahogany canteen box has been professionally polished by a cabinet maker and is in fine presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each piece, and the surface of the knives are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine and impressive canteen.
