Description


This fine antique Victorian sterling silver card case has a rectangular form with rounded corners.


The anterior surface of this case is embellished with a fine and impressive bright cut engraved floral and leaf designs accented with a scrolling bordered square motif pattern.


The posterior of the base is embellished with further bright cut engraved decoration incorporating a bordered scrolling leaf design in addition to an ivy leaf and floral stem encircling a shaped vacant cartouche.


The rounded sides of this silver case are plain and unembellished.


This antique card case is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover.

This antique Victorian card case is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the rim are all very clear.
