This exceptional antique sterling silver bowl has a circular rounded form onto a circular shaped pedestal and domed spreading foot.

The surface of the body is embellished with impressive pierced decorated scrolling leaf ornamentation incorporating floral style medallions and a stemmed papyrus flower fan design.

The upper rim of this George V centrepiece/fruit bowl is encircled with an applied scrolling border.

The vessel of this centrepiece is supported with an exceptional pierced decorated pedestal depicting individual interlacing laurel leaf designs accented with ball style berry motifs.

The plain domed spreading foot is encompassed with a band of spindle style ornamentation to the upper portion, in junction with the pedestal.

This English sterling silver fruit bowl is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The bowl has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition.

The pierced decoration is all very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the underside of the base are all very clear; the maker's mark has worn and is illegible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of antique silver.
