The drinking vessel is supported by a hallmarked baluster shaped knopped pedestal.

The foot is encircled with a band of tooled decoration, in addition to an applied moulded border to the rim.

Condition

This large silver chalice is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

There are some natural fire marks to the surface of the drinking vessel, as can be expected, however the piece can be considered to be in presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the vessel are all very clear; the maker's mark is struck poorly but remains legible.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of antique silverware.
