Description


This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver Art Nouveau cigarette case has a plain square subtly curved form with rounded corners.


The anterior cover is embellished with an embossed iconic Art Nouveau style female portrait.


The rounded sides and posterior cover of this cigarette case are plain and unembellished.


Each cover has a subtly curved form proffering a comfortable fit in the majority of pockets.


This Art Nouveau case is fitted with a push fit catch, which when released reveals two hinged compartments.


This impressive example of antique silverware retains the original gilt interior.

Condition


This antique case is an excellent gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition.

There are some natural fire marks to the embossed illustration, in keeping with age.

Full hallmarks struck to the interior of the anterior cover, and part hallmarks to the posterior are all very clear.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this impressive example of antique silverware.
