An exeptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver side handled coffee pot made by R & S Garrard & Co in the George I style; an addition to our silver teaware collection

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver coffee pot has a plain tapering cylindrical form on to a circular collet foot, all in the classic George I style.


The surface of this fine example of Edwardian silverware is plain and embellished with two bright cut engraved crests depicting an arm charged with crosses holding a leaf and a griffin's head couped grasping in the mouth a fish.


The coffee pot is fitted with a domed hallmarked cover surmounted with a sterling silver finial.


The hinge of the cover features an elevated scrolling thumbpiece which conjoins with the plain surface.


This antique silver coffee pot retains the original turned painted wood opposing scroll side-handle with plain silver socket.


This Edwardian coffee pot has a plain panelled swan necked spout, which is perpendicular to the handle.


The underside of this coffee pot, crafted by the renowned London silversmith Sebastian Henry Garrard of R & S Garrard & Co Ltd, bears the retailer's mark 'R & S Garrard & Co, Haymarket, London'.
