This impressive antique George III sterling silver coffee urn/samovar has a plain urn shaped form onto a spreading circular pedestal foot.

The anterior and posterior surface of this antique coffee urn is plain and embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a cockerel displayed.

The upper rim of the body is encircled with a bands of applied reed decoration.

The anterior surface of the body incorporates a fine and impressive spigot incorporating the impressive original carved fan-shaped handle.

The samovar is fitted with a pair of narrow loop handles with plain rounded terminals.

This impressive Georgian samovar retains the original plain waisted, domed hallmarked push fit cover surmounted with an impressive sterling silver tapering finial.

The urn is supported by a plain circular pedestal to a circular swept foot with a collet style rim.

This antique samovar is a very good gauge of silver, excellent quality and in excellent presentation condition in keeping with age.

The bright cut engraved heraldry has wear in keeping with age.

Full Scottish hallmarks struck to the rim of the foot, in addition to the part hallmarks to the sleeve of the cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Georgian silverware.
