This magnificent antique George V sterling silver twelve piece condiment set consists of four salts, four pepper pots and four mustard pots.

The pieces of this fine boxed condiment set have a panelled oval form; each pepper pot surmounts a pedestal foot and the salts are each supported by four bracket style legs.

The surface of each piece is embellished with panels of bright cut engraved decoration trellis patterns encompassed with scroll decorated borders.

Either side of each piece incorporates a scroll bordered cartouche, one displays a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting a Talbot holding in the mouth a snake; the other cartouche remains vacant.

The upper rim of each piece is encompassed with applied moulded borders.

The mustard pots are fitted with angular shaped handles with applied pendant drop style thumbpieces.

Each mustard pot has a hinged hallmarked domed cover embellished with bright cut engraved bordered panels.

The pepper pots are fitted with push fit hallmarked covers with pierced scrolling ‘pepper’ holes.

The covers to each of the mustard pots and pepper pots are surmounted by a sterling silver Adams style urn finial.

This condiment set is fitted to the fine original hinged oak wood presentation box with a velvet lined interior.

The box is ornamented with brass fittings, including a circular cartouche displaying the bright cut engraved initial 'S'.

Each salt and mustard pot of this impressive set is fitted with the original removable blue glass liners.

This condiment set is presented with associated hallmarked English sterling silver salt and mustard spoons.

This antique boxed condiment set is an exceptional gauge of silver for its type, exceptional quality and is in exceptional presentation condition.

The presentation box has been professionally polished by a cabinet maker.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece and part hallmarks to each cover are all very clear.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique silverware.
