Description

This exceptional antique Edwardian cast sterling silver corkscrew has been realistically modelled in the form of a trout/fish.

The hallmarked sterling silver handle of this antique corkscrew is embellished with fine details reproducing the fish's scales and anatomical features.

One end of the handpiece retains the original bead eyes.

The corkscrew is fitted with a steel wire helix or 'worm'; this clockwise helix is intended for right-handed use.

The underside of the fish's head bears the retailer's mark 'Clark, 53, Conduit St. Bond St. W.'.

This exceptional antique silver corkscrew is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire.
