This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver cup and cover has a circular bell shaped form onto a circular spreading foot.
The lower portion of the body is embellished with applied cut card stylised leaf decoration.
The upper portion is ornamented with an applied band incorporating two chased scroll and acanthus leaf bordered oval vacant cartouches, one to each side of the body.
This cup retains the original domed push fit hallmarked cover, surmounted by an impressive tiered fluted finial.
The cover is further embellished with fine cut card applied stylised leaf decoration, in addition to a gadroon decorated border to the rim.
This fine cup is fitted with two impressive C scroll handles ornamented with an applied band of husk decoration.
The foot of this Edwardian cup is encircled with embossed fluted decoration.
Both the cup and cover retain the original gilt interiors.
