This exceptional antique sterling silver condiment serving set consists of four egg cups displayed on a functional original purpose-made stand with a central carrying handle.
The original hallmarked egg cups have a bell shaped form onto a circular spreading foot.
These antique silver egg cups are plain and unembellished, with applied bead decoration to each foot and upper rim.
Each egg cup is supported and displayed on the circular stand, ornamented with further applied bead decoration to the rim.
The surface of the stand bears four hallmarked circular peg receivers enabling the egg cups to stand securely in situ.
The original antique stand features a central carrying handle encompassed with bead ornamentation, in addition to leaf designs to the upper and lower portion of the navette shaped handpiece.
The stand is supported by four impressive bracket style feet, encompassed with further bead decoration and a collared bead design to each terminal.
