Description


This exceptional Victorian sterling silver soup ladle has been crafted in the Fiddle, Thread and Shell pattern.


The anterior and posterior surfaces of the handle are embellished with a paralleling thread decorated border accented with a shell design to the terminal.


This fine example of Victorian flatware has a plain rounded bowl with an impressive diamond heel to the reverse surface.


This exceptional antique silver ladle was crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith and flatware maker George Adams of Chawner & Co.

Condition


This antique silver ladle is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The Fiddle, Thread and Shell pattern decoration is very sharp.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the handle are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this piece of Victorian dining silverware.
