This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver four piece tea and coffee set/service consists of a coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and cream jug.

The pieces of this tea and coffee service have an oval tapering, oil can shaped form.

The upper portion of each piece is embellished with fine and impressive bright cut engraved bordering interlacing scrolling leaf designs accented with a pensile floral and leaf motifs.

This decoration incorporates bright cut engraved suspended conical baskets accented with a floral spray and volant bird designs.

The upper portion of each item are encircled with a bright cut engraved protruding interlacing geometric border.

Each piece is further ornamented with a bright cut engraved opposing scroll bordered vacant cartouche to either side.

The upper and lower rim of each piece is encompassed with an applied bead decorated border.

The plateau to the teapot and coffee pot are encircled with a band of interlacing geometric decoration in addition to a large and impressive scrolling leaf design which continues across the cover's hinge.

The coffee pot and teapot are fitted with flush hinged hallmarked covers surmounted with the original sterling silver knopped finials, encircled with a ribbed border; the flush hinge indicates the fine quality of this service.

Each piece is fitted with a fine and impressive faceted, angular shaped handle a plain thumbpiece in addition to further bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decoration.

The teapot and coffee pot are fitted with fine and impressive tapering spouts.

The cream jug and sugar bowl retain the original gilded interiors.

This antique tea and coffee set is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The applied decoration is very sharp and the bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp.

The interior of the each piece has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each piece, in addition to the part hallmarks to the interior of each cover and the handles of the teapot and coffee pot are all very clear in keeping with age and location.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these impressive examples of Victorian silverware.
