£1,445.00

A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver pepperette realistically modelled in the form of a game bird; an addition to our range of silver novelty items

SKU A2769

This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver pepperette has been realistically modelled in the form of a game bird.

This impressive pepperette is embellished with chased decoration reproducing the details of the game bird's plumage and features.

The pepperette retains the original fully hallmarked push fit cover/head which features pierced 'pepper' holes.

This impressive novelty sterling silver piece was crafted by the silversmiths Charles Henry Townley & John William Thomas of Thomas of New Bond Street.

Such original period pieces are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
