The pierced decorated handle of each piece is embellished with impressive grape and vine leaf chased decoration, extending across the stem and terminal.
The posterior surface of each piece incorporates a vacant cartouche to the terminal.
Each piece of this exceptional antique silver flatware set retains the original gilding; this has some slight wear in keeping with age and in a sympathetic fashion.

The components of this antique canteen were crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd in 1910.
This exceptional silver gilt cutlery service is fitted to the original impressive mahogany wood lift up lid and three tray canteen box, which features fine and impressive brass carrying handles to either side.
Each lift out tray and the interior of the well is fitted with the original green velvet fitment.
The satin interior to the cover bears the retailer's mark 'By appointment to the King, The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company Ltd, 112, Regent St London W'.
NOTE: * Due to the quantity of place settings this extensive dessert service could be portioned to include a table service and utilised as a canteen of cutlery for nine persons.
