Description


This fine antique Georgian sterling silver drinking goblet has a plain circular bell shaped form to a waisted pedestal onto a circular foot and square base.


The upper rim of the goblet is embellished with a bright cut engraved band of fruiting and foliate ornamentation, flanked between undulating borders.


One side of the antique silver drinking goblet is embellished with an impressive contemporary bright cut engraved decorated crest of five serpents/snakes entwined with a sixth.


The circular spreading foot and square base are encompassed with further bright cut engraved undulating ornamentation, in addition to a band of tooled decoration.


This impressive example of Georgian silverware has a gilded interior.

This antique sterling silver drinking goblet is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the goblet are very clear.
