Description


These exceptional antique Georgian English sterling silver drinking goblets have a plain circular bell shaped form to a waisted pedestal foot.


The body of each piece is embellished with an exceptional and very impressive bright cut engraved coat of arms displaying on a fess three lions rampant, between three boar's heads couped.


The coat of arms are each surmounted with an exceptional bright cut engraved crest of a lion rampant holding in the paws a boar's head couped.


The goblets retain the original gilding to the interiors.

These antique goblets are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.

The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp.

Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each goblet are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.


Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of Georgian silverware.
