This exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver mug has a subtly tapering cylindrical form.


The body of the mug is embellished with two impressive engraved scenes depicting male figures playing golf; one character is in full swing, with a caddy and golf flag in the background.


The decoration to this sterling silver golfers mug incorporates the contemporary engraved inscription 'Sutton Coldfield Golf Club, Annual Medal Competition, 1903-4, Won by Revd W Dixon, Score, 94-16=78'.


The mug is fitted with an impressive faceted C-shaped handle.
