These magnificent contemporary English cast sterling silver table ornaments have been realistically modelled in the form of Gordon Highlanders dressed in Scottish regimental attire.
Each Highlander is habited in a uniform consisting of a service jacket with cross over sash accented with a central emblem.
The ornaments are further dressed in tartan kilts with decorative sporrans in addition to patterned knee length kilt socks with a turnover top and fabric bows, all terminating with simple buckle shoes.
These sterling silver Scottish figures are wearing a feather bonnet with hackle, which is a traditional military headdress using within the Scottish Highland infantry regiments.
Each Highlander is carrying a flask canister, regimental backpack and bag embellished with the engraved initials ‘GR’ - Gordon Regiment*, in addition to holding a rifle in both hands.
These impressive cast sterling silver figures are embellished with chased decoration reproducing the finer details of the highlander’s features and attire.
The impressive statues prominently stand to imposing cuboid ebonised painted wood plinths; if required these plinths could be fitted with bespoke sterling silver presentation plaques suitable for a personal engraved inscription.
* Previously known as 92nd Regiment of Foot, the Gordon Highlanders were a branch of the Scottish division of the British Army until 1994 when they were consolidated with other line infantry Highlanders to form the Royal Regiment of Scotland.
