Description

These exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver hors d'oeuvre forks have been crafted in an Onslow shaped pattern.

The anterior surface of each tapering shaped handle features impressive floral and foliate decoration; the posterior surface is plain and unembellished.

Each silver fork has three rounded tines, with the broadest tines incorporates a notch to the internal edge.

These exceptional examples of antique silverware are fitted to the original hinged leatherette presentation box with satin and velvet lined interior, securing with push fit catch.

The interior of the box bears the retailer's mark 'Ollivant & Botsford, Goldsmiths & Co, St Ann Street,Manchester'.

Date: 1891

Condition

This antique silver hors d'oeuvre fork set is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition.

The decoration to each piece is very sharp; the pieces have seen little to no use.

Full hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of each fork are clear; the maker's marks have wear in keeping with age and location.

Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of each item of antique silverware.
